Trip on the Danube to Passau, Germany
We decided to go on the trip by ship the following weekend hoping to have the right weather. And we were lucky; weather was great and we were able to enjoy the most breathtaking exhilerating views in Donautal – valley of the danube. We even passed the town of “Wesenufer” where I spent many a vacation with the God Mother – sitting outside under an apple tree – enjoying quite a few of these apples and watch the ships passing by. I fantacized about where they would be anchoring. Every Sunday my uncle would row us in a small boat to go to church across the river. There was no other way to go!! How exciting that was. So we passed by this place. Interesting how all these memories from so long ago surface. We also passed through a few of these Dams along the way. These were not even built before I left for America.
